Why do I need to allow my browser to use Javascript?

We use Javascript to improve the customer experience on our website.

It's a scripting language that changes our web forms in response to data our customers enter. So if you plan to pay for your TV Licence or update your details online, you will need to ‘switch on’ Javascript in your web browser.

If you decide not to allow your browser to use Javascript you can still browse www.tvlicensing.co.uk for information.

How to switch on Javascript

You can enable Javascript in the ‘preferences’ section of your web browser. Each browser is different, so check the "Help" menu of your browser to learn how to change your preferences.

You find the www.aboutcookies.org(opens in a new window) website useful for information on how to change settings in a range of commonly used browsers.

The RNIB has a Technology Support Squad run by volunteers to help you get to grips with technology for free. Call 0303 123 9999 or visit www.rnib.org.uk/technology(opens in a new window) for information.
