I have received a letter about a problem setting up my monthly Direct Debit

Have you recently tried to sign up to our 75+ Plan and have a received a letter about your Direct Debit which asks you to call us on 0300 790 6146 or 0300 790 6070?

This is a genuine letter from TV Licensing. There’s nothing to worry about.

Due to new banking checks we sometimes have to complete an additional check before we can set up a new Direct Debit when we don’t have a written application. This can happen sometimes, especially with bank accounts that were opened a number of years ago.

We just need to confirm the bank details you gave us. Please complete the form enclosed with the letter and post it to us in the pre-paid envelope that was provided.

Once your Direct Debit has been set up, we’ll send you confirmation in the post, along with your TV Licence and payment plan.

If you’re unable to complete and return the enclosed form, please call us on 0300 790 6146 or 0300 790 6070* to discuss other ways to pay.

*Calls to our 0300 numbers cost no more than a national rate call to an 01 or 02 number, whether from a mobile or landline. If you get inclusive minutes with your mobile, calls to an 0300 number will be included.
