You'll find PayPoint* outlets located in newsagents, convenience stores, supermarkets and petrol stations across the UK. Many are open long hours, seven days a week, so you can pay at a time that suits you.
If you're buying a new TV Licence Simply tell the retailer your name and address and your details will be entered onto our database. Once you have paid for your TV Licence, you will be given a receipt which you should keep safe. Shortly afterwards you'll receive your licence in the post.
If you're renewing your TV Licence When your licence approaches its expiry date, you will receive a renewal notice in the post (if you bought your licence by phone or post or at a PayPoint* outlet). Simply hand this to the retailer when you pay for your new TV Licence and they will give you a receipt, which you should keep safe with your payment slip, and this will become your valid licence.
If you're making a payment with the cash payment plan Simply hand your payment card to the retailer to make your regular payment.
If you're making a saving on your TV Licensing savings card Simply hand your savings card to the retailer and make your saving by cash or debit card. You will be issued a receipt as proof of saving, which you should keep with your licence.
If you're buying a short term TV Licence Please contact us and we'll send you a form to take to your local PayPoint* outlet. If you're applying for a free over 75 licence, contact us on 0844 800 6790.
If you're buying or renewing a TV Licence with the blind concession Please contact us and we'll send you a form to take to your local PayPoint* outlet.
* ‘PayPoint’ is not available in the Channel Islands or on the Isle of Man. If you live in the Channel Islands or on the Isle of Man, you can pay at any Post Office® branch instead.
