You can pay for a licence by making a one-off payment on a debit or credit card.

We accept these debit and credit cards:

Maestro, Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, Master Card

Your card must be registered to a UK address. Our payment system cannot accept addresses outside the UK.

Ways to pay by card

Online

The quickest and easiest way to pay by card. To pay for your licence in full, simply complete our online form. And don’t worry, our site is secure so your information is protected and safe.

If you pay for your TV Licence by Direct Debit, you can make up a missed payment by debit or credit card when you sign in to view your licence and payment plan.

If you use a TV Licensing payment card to pay for your licence, you can make up a missed payment by debit or credit card when you sign in to view your licence.

By phone

If you need to speak to us, you can pay for your licence by phone.

At any PayPoint

You can pay by debit card (or cash) at any PayPoint. You can’t use credit cards. If you need to check disabled access at PayPoint, please call 0800 310 0000. PayPoint is not available in the Channel Islands or Isle of Man, but you can pay at your local post office.
