There are now many ways to watch television programmes as they’re being shown on TV, including on a computer, laptop and mobile. If you have already checked the law and know you will not receive TV broadcasts on any device before your TV Licence expires then please let us know.
If you pay by Direct Debit please use our contact us form. Please make it clear you will still be living at the same address, but will not receive TV broadcasts. To cancel the next Direct Debit instalment you will need to contact your bank or building society.
If you pay by TV Licensing Payment Card call 0300 555 0286 so we can cancel your plan and advise you what to do next.
If you have any quarters (3, 6 or 9 months) left on your TV Licence and you will not watch or record TV again before the licence expires you can apply for a refund. Please make it clear in your application that you will still be residing at the same address.
