Receiving your TV Licence by email

You can receive your TV Licence by email instead of by post. If you pay by Direct Debit, you will receive your payment plan by email too.

Your purchase details will be electronically recorded on our database, so we'll always know when you've paid for your TV Licence. We just suggest that you save a copy of your licence to your computer (or print it off if you want to).

Whether or not you are a new or existing customer you can choose to receive your TV Licence by email.

  • If you are buying a new licence online then select 'TV Licence by email' when asked 'How would you like to receive your TV Licence?' during your application and you will receive your TV Licence by email instead of by post.
  • If you already have a TV Licence you can update your details to receive your TV Licence by email. You will need your last name, TV Licence number and postcode to do this.
