I've chosen to pay quarterly, so why aren't my payments three months apart?

There may not be a three-month gap between the first and second payment when you start paying on this scheme. This is because there is sometimes a delay between when your licence starts and when we can debit your first payment.

For example, if you contact us in January to set up a new TV Licence, we cannot take your first payment until February. This payment will cover you for three months; January, February and March. Your next payment will be in April, covering you for April, May and June. From then onwards, your payments will be spaced three months apart.
