Armed Forces - I'm being posted overseas so won't be using my TV. Can I get a refund?
You can claim a refund for every three consecutive months that you don't need your TV Licence, provided that you don't need it again in the UK before it expires. (Refunds must be claimed within two years of the licence expiry).
You can apply for a refund online. You will need evidence to prove that you are eligible for a refund, such as a letter from your unit stating the dates that you are deployed outside the UK. However, if you are only claiming for the last three months on a current licence, no evidence is necessary.
